HOW TO TAKE BODY MEASUREMENTS FOR CUSTOM ORDER
✂ This is a handmade item according to your own orders
✂ Please provide us with exact measurements. In case it is not clear, please see more pictures of how to measure in the description or contact us before measuring.
✂ For this design, please provide us with the following information:
- Bust (1): Wrap the tape around the fullest part of your bust with your bra and center the tape on your back so it's leveled all the way around. *Tips: This isn't your bra size! ; Your arms should be relaxed, and down at your sides. Wear the bra you're planning to wear with your dress when taking this.
- Waist (2): Run tape around the natural waistline, keeping the tape parallel to the floor. *Tips: Bend to one side to find a natural indentation in the torso. This is your natural waist. The waist is above the belly button just below the rib cage
- Hips (3): This is a measurement around the fullest part of your buttocks. Wrap tape around the fullest part of your hips, which is usually 7-9" below your natural waistline. Keep tape parallel with the floor all the way around.
- Shoulder width (4): This is the distance from the edge of the left shoulder across to the prominent neck bone located at the center of the back of the neck continuing to the edge of the right shoulder.
- Armscye (5): In order to take your armscye measurement, you must wrap the measuring tape over the top of your shoulder and around under your armpit.
- Bicep (6): This is a measurement around the fullest part of your upper arm.
- Sleeve length (7): Measure from your shoulder seam to desired sleeve length with your arm relaxed by your side to get the best possible measurement.
- Body height (8): Stand your body flat against the wall, without shoes, and measure from the top of the head to the floor.
- Heel height (9): With floor-length designs, you need to know how high the heels are intended to go. Get a tape measure or ruler. Measure from the top of the heel cap.
- Wrist (10): Measured at the protruding points of the wrist joint.
- Dress length (11): Begin measuring at the tip of your shoulder and bring the tape over the fullest part of your bust to the desired dress length or the floor for a full-length dress.
- Skirt length (12): Begin measuring from the point on your waist where you usually wear your skirt. Bring the measuring tape straight down to the desired length of your skirt.
- Bust height (13): It is measured from the shoulder seam line at the neck base to the most outstanding breast part (usually its apex). Right at the same time as this one, the # 14 measurement is being taken as well.
- Front shoulder to waist (14): Without changing the position of the measuring tape from #13 (at the neck base to the most outstanding breast part) continue it till the waistline.
- Back shoulder to waist (15): It is measured from the neck base until the waist, parallel to the spine, just across the shoulder blade.
